Regal Refuses to Run Lara Croft Sequel

Monday June 23, 2003
Regal Entertainment Group is refusing to run "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life" from Paramount Pictures. The issue stems from a Lara Croft lobby sign promoting a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon giveaway. Regal wants to be compensated for displaying the special promotions signs but Paramount is refusing. Regal's decided to do some tomb raiding of its own and won't run the movie in 47 theaters.
