Viacom Has a Spike on Its Side
Tuesday June 24, 2003
Spike Jones, Jr., has entered the controversy surrounding SpikeTV. But he's not on Spike Lee's side. He's ready to testify on behalf of Viacom. Jones, the son of the famous Big Band musician, says he's "frightened" that the court would allow Lee to take exclusive TV and entertainment ownership in the name "Spike." Spike Lee, whose real name is Shelton, won a temporary injunction to stop Viacom from changing "The New TNN" to "SpikeTV" earlier this month.
