Judge Raises the Stakes

Thursday June 26, 2003
New York Supreme Court Justice Walter Tolub says Spike Lee will have to post an additional $2 million bond to cover Viacom's losses if he wants to continue his lawsuit. Tolub also moved up the trial date to August 18. The non-jury trial is a result of "The New TNN" attempting to change its name to "SpikeTV." Earlier this week, Spike Jones, Jr., son of the late Big Band leader, came out in support of Viacom.
