How About a Do Not Spam List?

Wednesday July 9, 2003
Aren't you just sick of spam? The new Do Not Call list is getting an overwhelming response for consumers not wanting to be bothered by unsolicited phone calls. Why not have a Do Not Spam list that holds spammers accountable for the unsolicited Emails they send in bulk?

With spammers turning into scammers, taking advantage of consumers by stealing personal information, the stakes are even higher now. Best Buy, America Online and Earthlink have all been victims of spammers fooling consumers by asking for personal information.

Unfortunately, it's not so simple to pass legislation for the Internet. With spam coming from all parts of the world, even tracking down the spammers is a challenge. Do you have ideas on how to crack down on the spam? Talk about it in the forum.
