Madonna and the Gap

Thursday July 17, 2003
No it's not a teeth joke. Madonna will star in Gap commercials in a new multimillion dollar ad campaign beginning this fall. She will also use the venture to promote her children's book, "The English Roses," slated for a September release date.

Madonna doesn't lend her name and face to just anyone. The most notable product she endorsed was Pepsi back in 1989. The company dropped her after the controversial "Like a Prayer" video hit the air.

Time to sound off! Is 44-year-old Madonna a good fit for Gap?

I saw Madonna in concert on a CNN special. Madonna was ranting and raving about Sara Palin. I have always considered Madonna to be a great example of a strong, forward thinking woman. However, she was totally out of line in the things that she said. Her lack of grace and composure puts her in the RADICAL IDIOT category. I will no longer support Gap, Versace, Sunsilk or any other company that uses Madonna to sell their product. She is not the person that I respected in days past. I see that the female that I can relate to in the day of unrest and turmoil is a woman very much like Sara Palin.
