Lamisil Tests the Gag Reflex

Wednesday July 30, 2003
How many of you have seen this little guy? He's the new creepy spokesfreak, if you will, for Lamisil. His name is Digger and he shows up in commercials preaching about how he and his kind like to dig in your nail bed.

Okay, so we get it. Nail fungus is supposed to be a nasty thing. But just as you get the message something awful happens.

Like fingernails down a chalkboard, Digger flips a toenail back as if it's a car hood and hops into the nail bed. Gag! Cringe! Ack! You grab your toes and cry in horrible pain just watching it.

More creatures appear and they all start digging. And worse, bragging. Bragging about how you can't get rid of them. A nasty toe and even nastier creatures are the stars of this :30 spot. Of course, it usually airs when you're trying to eat dinner.

It's definitely a commercial you'll never forget. If you never suffer from nail fungus, remembering this commercial isn't necessarily a good thing.
