Trading Spaces Trades Spaces

Wednesday August 13, 2003
Home Depot will become the new Trading Spaces sponsor by the end of the year. Lowe's decided not to renew its contract, after sponsoring the show for the first three seasons. Trading Spaces gives two sets of neighbors the chance to redecorate one room in each other's house on a $1,000 budget with the help of the show's designers and carpenter. Previously, you'd see the Lowe's logo on paint cans and the designers and neighbors would often mention they got this or that at Lowe's. Now, Home Depot has the chance to attract the younger demographic and will take over the exposure Lowe's had with the number one advertising-supported cable show.
