Tip of the Week: Link Exchanges

Wednesday December 17, 2003
Link exchanges help you expand your Web site's reach to countless consumers. Since Web sites show up on search engines through various keywords, you increase your chances of finding consumers who are looking for your product or services by hooking up with relevant Web sites.

Example: If you run a company that makes sweaters for dogs, you can search for pet-related Web sites, including personal Web sites of pet owners. Contact the site's owner, give them a brief description of your Web site, the link to your Web site and ask them if they would like to swap links. You put their link on your site and vice versa.

Effective advertising at no cost and with very little effort.
