Bush Doesn't Condemn Anti-Kerry Ad

Monday August 16, 2004
President Bush won't give Senator John McCain his wish. McCain, who's also campaigning for the President, wanted Bush to condemn a new anti-Kerry ad released by Vietnam veterans that claims Kerry is not a Vietnam War hero.

The President appeared on Larry King Live saying, "I haven't seen the ad, but what I do condemn is these regulated, soft-money expenditures." McCain did not comment on if he is disappointed the President won't condemn the ad.
