Advertisers Bend Over Backwards for Yoga
Tuesday August 31, 2004
Advertisers want to cash in on the millions of people who practice yoga. Ford Motor Company, Pfizer and Clairol are just some of the big companies taking out their first ads in Yoga Journal.
The magazine estimates 15 million people in the U.S. practiced yoga last year. That's close to a 30 percent jump over the previous year.
Yoga master Rodney Yee is also lending his name to yoga-friendly products. He's featured in Vitasoy milk and tofu ads.
