Political Ad Uses Osama bin Laden Against Opponent
Wednesday September 29, 2004
Republican challenger George Nethercutt has released an ad accusing Democratic Senator Patty Murray of Washington of having "a different view of Osama bin Laden." The ad features Murray talking about bin Laden to a high school audience in 2002 in a positive light.
Murray says her words were taken out of context. Nethercutt appears in the ad, adding, "because winning the war on terror means fighting terrorists, not excusing them."
