TV Show's "Merry Chrismukkah" Brings Holiday Cheer to Marketers

Thursday December 16, 2004
Fox's hit The O.C. introduced a holiday wish last December that marketers have been quick to pick up on. Producers came up with Merry Chrismukkah for a character's family who is Protestant-Jewish. Warner Bros. is cashing in on Chrismukkah greeting cards, T-shirts and even wrapping paper.

Now marketers are also coming up with other mixtures of Christmas and Hannukah. USAToday.com reports variations include The "Yarmuclaus" and Merry Mazol Tov.
