TLC Says No to Money Back for Advertisers

An article on Television Week's Web site is causing quite a stir. The article reportedly claimed advertisers on TLC would receive several millions of dollars back after the network failed to meet its upfront ratings guarantee.
TLC's owner, Discovery, says the article "made numerous erroneous references and misrepresented the facts. At no time does Discovery Networks give cash back for ratings under delivery to its advertising clients." Television Week has changed the story on its Web site.
