AOL Hopes to Crank Up Advertising Revenue

Monday June 20, 2005
America Online will offer free music and video to its subscribers in hopes of snagging higher ad revenues with the additional space. The Internet service provider is watching its subscriber base shrink and the $23.90 monthly fee for unlimited access doesn't cover incentive content like music and video.

AOL begins testing its strategy June 21 but it won't officially be kicked off until July. The ad campaign will include online, print and radio advertising.
