GM's Success With Employee Discount Ad Campaign, Others Follow

General Motors says it will continue offering consumers its employee discount until August 1, after the promotion is credited with giving GM its highest sales month since September 1986. Other automakers want in on the success.
Ford and Chrysler have announced they will also offer employee discounts to consumers. A car's sticker price will have about 18-percent knocked off. The employee discount price will be the bottom line deal with no room for negotiation.
