Sears Drops Ad Agency After 43 Years

Sears, Roebuck & Co. has dropped agency Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide after 43 years. The retailer spent $640 million on advertising last year.
Sears will continue its relationship with Young and Rubicam. Work has been divided between both agencies, which are owned by the WPP Group, since 1993.
Ogilvy & Mather specifically handled the Kenmore, Craftsman and DieHard brands. Young and Rubicam handled the store's branding.
