Nissin Ramen Noodles to Launch Into Space for New Ad
Friday September 23, 2005
Japanese ramen noodle maker Nissin Food Products will shoot a commercial in space in October. The commercial's set will be unique: the International Space Station.
A Russian cosmonaut will help promote Cup Noodle for the "Cup Noodle No Border" campaign. The commercial will begin airing in November in Japan and is part of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's attempt to combine its space exploration program with commercial tie-ins. The producers of the commercial plan to leave the high definition camera in space with hopes of going back to shoot even more commercials in the future.
