Ask Jeeves Butler Gets the Boot

The face of AskJeeves.com for almost 10 years is getting the boot and so is the search engine's name. The decision is part of a turnaround branding strategy from the new Ask Jeeves owner.

Over $100 million marketing dollars were originally spent to brand Jeeves, the cartoonish butler for the search engine. But InterActive Corp, the new owners who bought the company for $1.85 billion in stock, says Jeeves isn't part of the search engine's future.
