Long John Silver's Wants Powerball Winner
Thursday February 23, 2006
Long John Silver's wants the new Powerball winner to be the spokesperson for the chain's Buttered Lobster Bites. Problem is, when the offer was made, no one knew who the owner of the sole winning ticket was.
Since Long John Silver's offered the deal without even seeing who would represent the product, there has been a new development. There are actually eight owners of that one ticket. All eight of them work at a ham processing plant in Nebraska. No word yet on if they'll cross from meat to fish.
In the company's official press release, Long John Silver’s president Steve Davis says he thinks offering an endorsement deal without even laying eyes on the spokesperson is a first. He just wants to promote the Buttered Lobster Bites by showing that everyone can enjoy "a taste of the good life."
