Oscar Pulls in Big Price Tag for ABC

ABC is sold out of advertising for the March 5 Academy Awards. The average 30-second commercial sold for $1.7 million, up $100,000 from last year.

Super Bowl XL, also on ABC, raked in about $2.5 million for a 30-second commercial to reach more than 90 million viewers. The $1.7 million commercials during the Oscars will reach about 41 million people.
