Verizon Fined for Ad Campaign

Verizon's sidewalk graffiti campaign has generated a lot of buzz in Washington D.C. Even the city paid attention and has fined the company $1,050 for violating D.C.'s advertising rules.
The street graffiti advertises the Verizon Yellow Pages. The company sprayed about 135 orange-colored chalk ads on the sidewalks. Verizon was fined $150 for each of seven ads the D.C. District Deparmtent of Public Works found. Most had been washed off or worn off by the time city officials went in search of them.

Verizon getting fined does not shock me. They go out of their way to get your business, but then treat you like crap when they do. I’m yet to speak to someone with Verizon who really has any idea of what’s going on. They pass you from person to person and in the end your questions are still unanswered….
