Ford Signs American Idol Winner Taylor Hicks

American Idol winner Taylor Hicks will star in national commercials to promote Ford Motor Company's "Drive on Us" year-end sales event. Hicks will perform the song "Possibilities" in commercials that begin airing June 15.

Print ads will debut in USA Today and other national publications. Both :60 and :30 versions of TV and radio commercials featuring Hicks will also air nationally.

It's been less than two months since Ford launched its new tagline "Bold Moves" with first season American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson. Ford has been an American Idol sponsor since 2002.

The "Drive on Us" promotion is scheduled to end July 31. No word yet on if Ford plans to use Hicks in any of its promotions after that date.
