Time Inc. has announced it will no longer publish Teen People. Execs say the advertising market caused the decision. Teen People will still function as a Web site. The print magazine's circulation numbers have fallen over the past three years, with research showing ad pages falling 14.4-percent since the beginning of 2006.

More on Teen Publications in Trouble:

Hachette Filipacchi Media also cancelled its print publication of Elle Girl. The company decided to keep the magazine's Web site, though.

Teen publications are struggling with more teens turning to the Internet for instant entertainment and teen news. But teen mag Web sites aren't an automatic hit.

Seventeen magazine hopes to capitalize on teens flocking to the Internet by entering into a promotion with MySpace.com. The magazine has seen a huge decrease in Web site traffic to Seventeen.com, down 211,000 visitors from May 2005 to May 2006.
