Teen People Gets Shelved

Time Inc. has announced it will no longer publish Teen People. Execs say the advertising market caused the decision.

Teen publications are struggling with more teens turning to the Internet for instant entertainment and teen news. But teen mag Web sites aren't an automatic hit.
Seventeen magazine hopes to capitalize on teens flocking to the Internet by entering into a promotion with MySpace.com. The magazine has seen a huge decrease in Web site traffic to Seventeen.com, down 211,000 visitors from May 2005 to May 2006.
