Geico Brings Back the Caveman

Friday September 22, 2006
A new Geico ad is hitting the airwaves highlighting the popular caveman twist. The commercial features a caveman on an airport's moving sidewalk passing various ads, including a Geico ad that says, "So easy a caveman can do it." Geico's cavemen first appeared in commercials in 2004. The ads ended with a spot called "Apology" that showed a Geico rep apologizing to two cavemen over dinner. But now the caveman is back, although Geico and its ad agency, The Martin Agency, aren't saying if more will be created.

More on the New Caveman Ad:

Geico execs say the cavemen commercials developed a following and have still been a hot topic even though there hasn't been a new one produced in two years. They also say the ads seemed to end with the "Apology" spot but the success of those commercials has been too great to ignore.
