Toys R Us Plays With Deal or No Deal

Thursday September 28, 2006
Toys R Us and the NBC game show Deal or No Deal have partnered for a major campaign to promote the show and the toy store. Commercials and print work will run between October 1-28 to give consumers the chance to play the game in their own city. People will be able to take game pieces found in 140 newspaper circulars to Toys R Us. They can take the deal and swap the piece for a 10-percent discount or choose no deal and see if they can win a prize. Even if their briefcase is empty, they'll still receive a Toys R Us discount on one item.

More on the Deal's Prizes:

There's a retail version of the game that will give put a $1 million jackpot on the line for consumers. Other prizes include an Xbox 360, MP3 players and Toys R Us gift cards.

Other Deal or No Deal merchandise includes board games, interactive DVDs, electronic games and even card games. Part of the Toys R Us deal will have these products featured in the store for consumers.
