Dale Earnhardt Jr. Gets His Own Candy Bar

Friday September 21, 2007
First the Daytona 500. Now his own candy bar.

NASCAR's Dale Earnhardt Jr. unwrapped a sweet surprise at the 2007 Candy Expo in Chicago. He's getting his own candy bar called Big Mo. It's been a big week for Dale Jr. He also announced his new primary sponsor and car number when he takes the wheel for Hendrick Motorsports next year.

Dale Jr. will drive the number 88 for sponsors Mountain Dew AMP Energy Drink and the Army National Guard. He previously drove DEI's number 8 car, sponsored by Budweiser.

More on the Big Mo' Candy Bar

Candy maker R.M. Palmer will launch Big Mo in a "big" way. Radio spots and public appearances will kick off the brand along with a "Big Mo'ment" sweepstakes with a prize package of lunch with Dale Jr., a JR Motorsports tour and a VIP suite for a Lowe's Motor Speedway race.

Big Mo' gets its name from Dale Jr.'s North Carolina hometown of Mooresville. Jr. and his friends called themselves the Dirty Mo Posse. Look for the candy bar on store shelves nationwide in January 2008.
