Charmin's Mr. Whipple Passes Away

The actor who played ad icon Mr. Whipple for Procter and Gamble's Charmin brand has passed away at the age of 91. Dick Wilson died of natural causes Sunday at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital in Los Angeles.

Wilson said the tag line, "Please don't squeeze the Charmin," in more than 500 TV commercials. He played the lovable grocer for 20 years, bringing the character to life in 1964.
