Eli Manning Could Double Endorsement Income

Wednesday February 13, 2008
Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning saw his worth climb instantly with the Giants' victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. Experts predict he could double his endorsement deal value and advertisers are already lining up to cash in. Reebok already holds one of Manning's deals but had a spot ready to go called, "Perfectville," that began airing right after the Super Bowl. Manning welcomed viewers to Perfectville. Had the Giants lost, Reebok would have instead aired the ad with Dolphins’ veteran Mercury Morris welcoming viewers to Perfectville.

Manning's pre-Super Bowl victory endorsement deals brought him about $5 million from companies like Reebok, Citizen Watch and Oreo. He still had his helmet in his hand when he became the 20th Super Bowl player to say he was going to Disneyland to celebrate the victory.
