Girl in Clinton Ad to Appear in Obama Ad?
Monday March 10, 2008
Hillary Clinton's "3 a.m." ad has been the controversial topic among Democrats, Republicans and even became a Saturday Night Live sketch. An ironic twist has surfaced that may give the little girl even more face time...except that little girl is about to turn 18.
More on the Ad:
The video for the Clinton ad was actually stock video bought from Getty Images. It originally appeared in a railroad company ad.
Knowles has actually been campaigning for Obama for several months. The high school senior says she and the Obama campaign have been in touch to discuss the possibility of her appearing in an ad for him.
All right creatives. Show everyone what you're made of. How would you write an ad featuring the little girl, all grown up and supporting Obama? Share your ideas.

How do I sign up? I just wanna chance to win!!
How about using the same stock video of the girl in her bed and then fade to her now as a teenager waking up to Obama as the President? Everyone knows the shot of her in the bed and it would make a great TV ad for the Obama campaign to use it to their advantage.
Show clip of Casey Knowles sleeping from Hillary’s Red Phone Ad (she wants to do an ad, CNN)
Casey comes out and says, “that was me 7 years ago as an actress,(extra). Now I’m 17 yrs. old, (show close up of face) and I’m not fearful of the future b/c I’m putting my full support behind Barack Obama for president! He had the wisdom and sound judgement to oppose going to war with Iraq in 2002 while John McCain and Hillary Clinton went along w/ George Bush and authorized it!
I believe Barack Obama has all the experience needed to be a great Commander-in-Cnief—and I”m confident he”ll be “READY” on day one AND more importantly, he’ll get it ‘RIGHT” on day one!
Show the young women in an Obama tee-shirt, with campaign literature at someone’s front door. Zoom in to close up as she turns, says, “Hi, I’m Casey Knowles, that young girl in Mrs. Clinton’s ads about the call at three o’clock in the morning. I’m 17 now, and working to elect Barack Obama for President. He’s answered our call for a candidate for change: changing the Presidency back to something I’ve studied in history and know the founding fathers wanted. Join me in taking back our government and making it into the republic from which we came. Thanks.
I would open the ad with the Casey Knowles clip when she was eight. Then cut to the present day Knowles, delivering her line, “That was then, This is now. Stay current, vote for Obama”
