MySpace Releases Safety PSA

Monday March 10, 2008
MySpace has released a PSA to promote online safety for teens. The site has also debuted "myspacesafety," which offers safety tips, a section for parents and educators, teens and the PSA. Over the next couple of months, MySpace plans to air the PSA on FOX and cable networks. MySpace's chief security officer Hemanshu Nigam says MySpace believes parents are the first line of defense to protecting teens both offline and online.

"Don't Stop the Dialogue" now. Lets' talk about the PSA. Is MySpace doing enough to protect its users? Is the company responsible for the publicity it receives when a user commits suicide, kills others or impersonates someone else on the Internet using the MySpace site?
