Of course it is an influence ESPECIALLY IF YOU KNOW THEY USE THE PRODUCT.
They have $$ and can afford the best so if Keef uses the merchandise and YOU KNOW THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT nothing wrong with that.
Completely disagree with the previous poster. Seeing a celebrity endorse a product -does not- make me go buy something. I tune out that stuff because it’s just some celebrity paid to front a product. Anyone can do that.
“J” do you really think Keith Richards carries around a LV handbag? Now that I would like to see.
Yes, I think that celebrity endorsed products sell better because if the celebrity endorsing it is one you like, you are likley to follow that celebrity, especially younger children. Example, if ‘Hannah Montana’ is endorsing a product, young children will ask their parents to get them that product, because to these kids, these are people they look up to, and try to be like. Another example is Jessica Simpson endorsing Proactiv. It’s everywhere, and this product is known all over the world. So when a celebrity as famous as Jessica is endorsing something this big, it draws attention to the product.
I’m just wondering if fellow rock musician would actually carrying LV for their guitars. I assume brand like Gibson or Fender would works better for them.
But then again, it’s a question of does LV wants to sell their product, or is this simply a celeb-ad without any sales-mission behind it at all?
Most definitely celebrity endorsements work… some more than others depending on the popularity of the celeb and the appropriate pairing with a product/brand.
There are two major aspects - drawing attention to the brand and / or increasing sales. Obviously the second outcome is most desirably but not necessarily the only one. The first outcome of drawing attention to the brand can be more valuable over a longer period of time. It can depend on the deepness of the brand’s pockets.
Does anyone know where I could find a poster of this ad?? It looks really cool! email me at agpham@hotmail.fr. Thks!
