Family Circle and NASCAR Cook Together for Show

Thursday March 13, 2008
Family Circle magazine and NASCAR are teaming up for a new reality show. NASCAR: Serving It Up will be a syndicated cooking competition show featuring Family Circle recipes served up at NASCAR events. The deal will include editorials in the magazine and NASCAR side promotions. Episodes will begin airing in September 2008 with 40 half-hour shows planned, including a national final cook-off with celebrity judges on the panel.

Cooking competition shows have been a success in the past. But will this cross-promotion be a success? Discuss this topic.

Good question because I don’t understand the point of this crosspromotion. Besides a bunch of people cooking at a nascar race, it does not seem to offer either nascar or Family Circle much return for the venture.
