Popups and popunders are extremely annoying, like the article suggests. My pop up blocker gets a workout.

Interstitial ads I can tolerate as long as they offer the option to skip it and 9 times out of 10 I do skip the ad.

I will click through Google ads. They are noninvasive and are usually very subtle. On the web, it is actually the more subtle ads that get my attention as opposed to the ones that are blinking at me, taking up most of the website or stopping me from actually reading the content I’m looking for.
