Cars.com Goes Back to the Super Bowl

Monday November 10, 2008
Cars.com is gassing up for a Super Bowl commercial in 2009. A week after reports surfaced that the collapse of the auto industry would be devastating to the U.S. economy, the car-shopping site has confirmed 60-seconds of Super Bowl XLIII airtime in the second quarter. The commercial will launch a $200 million ad campaign that will tap into newspapers, TV and online outlets.

NBC's last update in September showed that 85-percent of ad time had already been sold for the February 1, 2009, game. About a dozen 30-second spots raked in $3 million each.
