Macy's and Apple Ads a Hit with Consumers

Nielsen IAG has released two top 10 lists rating the most-liked new TV commercials and the most-recalled. The research tracked consumers between October 20 and November 16, 2008.

Macy's was the most-liked new TV ad. The commercial featuring a little girl dropping a letter in the mailbox and celebrities reading "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" was a hit among consumers. A Zales commercial for the Celebration Diamond showing a man sliding a ring across a piece of string to a woman in another building came in second.

An Apple spot with PC giving Mac a cupcake to raise money for Vista repairs was the most-recalled commercial. The Macy's ad that was the most-liked came in second for most-recalled.
