I really hope so. But the chances are, you're in the majority of advertising agencies and clients that have jumped on a bandwagon they do not fully understand. I experienced this recently when I had to sit down for 40 minutes and explain what MEMEs are to someone in the ad business. Someone who wanted to use MEMEs as a way to push brand awareness. My first question was "why are you trying to use MEMEs when you don't even know what they are?" The answer: "Because I heard they're popular right now, and popular is good." Shoot me. So, think of this, and think carefully. If you're insisting on using Twitter, Facebook, Vine, Instagram or any other social media platform, do it knowing exactly what they're all about.
