Eminem Sues Apple Over Ad
Thursday February 26, 2004
Eminem says he could get $10 million for endorsing a product. And that's why he says he's suing Apple, MTV's parent company Viacom and advertising agency TBWA/Chiat/Day.
The copyright infringement lawsuit stems from an Apple TV commercial for the company's i-Tunes pay-per-download music service. In the commercial, a boy sings the lyrics to "Lose Yourself," one of Eminem's hit songs. Eminem and his music publisher say they never gave permission for use of the song in the ad.
