Coke to Debut New Ads for the New Year
Friday December 30, 2005
Coke is ringing in the New Year with 11 TV commercials during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve special on ABC. The ads will focus on Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero and Black Cherry Vanilla Coke.
It's the soft drink maker's attempt to regain the market after consumers have moved to non-carbonated soft drinks. About 85-percent of Coke's sales come from carbonated soft drinks.
All of the commercials are taking a light approach. One even brings back the old I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke song and adds that buying everyone a Coke would cost about $4.2 billion.
