Slim-Fast Signs Rachel Hunter

Model Rachel Hunter has signed a deal to make her the new face of Slim-Fast weight loss products. The new "Find Your Slim" campaign focuses on print ads and an online partnership with iVillage.com that includes a weight loss contest. When Slim-Fast approached Hunter to represent the brand, ContactMusic.com reports she said, "Wow, what’s wrong with me? Do I look fat?" Her official statement released through Slim-Fast was toned down to, "When I heard about the ‘Find your Slim’ campaign, I thought it was refreshing for a weight loss company to deliver a message that was empowering—it’s freeing to be encouraged to set and achieve your own personal weight loss goal. That was a message I wanted to help spread."

Slim-Fast spent $53 million in advertising in 2006 and $26 million in first quarter 2007. Previous celebrities to endorse Slim-Fast include Shari Belafonte, Kathie Lee Gifford, Whoopi Goldberg, Ann Jillian and Tommy Lasorda.
