You can email me anytime by clicking here. Being the Advertising Guide on About.com is something that gives me great pleasure, and I dedicate a lot of my time to it. In turn, I get a lot out of it, and that includes requests and emails from readers all over the world. I'm only human, and it does take time to read each one (which I do), but it's sometimes just not possible to send every person a reply, as much as I would love to.

So, when you're looking for answers, a great place to start is the Advertising Forum, which you can find right here. It's a place where you may find many of the answers you're looking for. Many like-minded professionals visit the forum, and you'll find more than just answers in there.

What Is The Advertising Site All About?

The mission of the advertising site at About.com is simple: to be a knowledge base filled with information on every aspect of the advertising industry, whilst keeping you constantly informed on the latest news, trends, gossip and information on advertising. In short, it's your window to the advertising world.

Who Is The Advertising Site For?

The Advertising site is for anyone interested in the field of advertising and communication. That includes students studying marketing, design or advertising, your professionals in advertising and marketing agencies, or veteran ad people looking for insights and the latest news. It's also a great resource for small business owners.

    F.A.Q.

Are you available to answer specific questions that I have?

You bet. I look at every email I receive and if it asks for a reply, I will do my best to get an answer to you in timely manner. If your question is beyond me (hey, it happens) then I'll refer you to other sources that have more knowledge on the subject. Just email me here.

I have a suggestion for the advertising site. Where do I submit it?

I will look at all suggestions, whether they're inclusions for the agency listing, topics to cover, what you'd like to see more of (or less of) and well, anything else you can think of. The advertising agency list is constantly being built and I take every application to be included in it very seriously. If your agency has merit and is doing great work, it will be included. Again, email me here with your suggestions.

I want to reprint one of your articles. What's the procedure?

Reprint requests and fees are at the discretion of The New York Times. All requests for reprints or advertising queries are covered here.

    Do you review resumes?

On occasion, I have looked at resumes, but it has become an overwhelming task to read and reply to every resume I receive. Therefore, I cannot provide a resume review service. The same goes with advertising portfolios as well.

How Are You Qualified To Be an Advertising Guide?

That's an easy one. I have been in advertising professionally since 1996, and spent the first 6 years of my career in London, England, one of the toughest and most competitive advertising environments in the world. I have a 1st Class Degree in Visual Communication, I have studied design, fine art, marketing, business and have also won many advertising awards. I am currently a professional copywriter, and I have also been a creative director, managing a creative team in a downtown Denver ad agency.
