Good Pub Guide

The North West is home to some of  England's finest inns. Call me old fashioned, but my idea of a great pub is real ale, traditional food and a roaring open fire.  The good news is, if you're looking for pubs with a bit more character you've come to the right place.  The North West has more than it's fair share of traditional inns, often tucked away in the most unlikely of places.  Even the smallest of villages and hamlets have a local watering hole.  Over the next few months, I will be featuring what I consider to be some of the best pubs around the region.  If there's somewhere that you think deserves to be included in the guide, please email me with some details and I will include them on this page.  For now, here are just a few of my own personal favourites to get you started.
