A Pizza Campaign With Everything On It
After a slump in recent sales and a new product to promote, Pizza Hut is pouring a whopping $50 million into the Super Bowl. The pre-game show is the prime time to order pizza and Pizza Hut wants to ensure hungry fans will pick up the phone and order from them.

A major PR and direct mail campaign launched on January 19. Starting January 26, ads will air all week teasing the new 4forAll, four 6x6 square pizzas for $11.99. Pizza Hut initially planned on launching its Homestyle Pizza on Super Bowl Sunday but switched gears after 4forAll market tests proved favorable.

Jessica Simpson and the Muppets will star in one pre-game spot for Pizza Hut. Insiders won't give too many details about the ad but will say Miss Piggy is jealous of the latest 'It' girl.

At the Box Office
Movie studios are also continuing their spending efforts in the Super Bowl. With Sony Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Universal Studios and Warner Bros. all on-board, you can expect to see promos for a variety of spring and summer releases.
