PETA Sues KFC

Thursday July 10, 2003
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has filed suit against Yum Brands for statements made on KFC's Web site, saying KFC is not properly advertising the fast food chain's treatment of chickens. PETA says the statements are untrue and misleading. In the past, the organization has won suits against other fast food chains.

If Yum Brands sounds familiar to you, it's because the company's subsidiaries have been in the news a lot lately. Taco Bell recently lost a $30 million lawsuit filed after two men say the fast food chain stole their chihuahua idea.
