New Ads Promote Steven Madden's Release from Prison

Footwear retailer Steve Madden is promoting the fact that the company's namesake is coming back. Steven Madden has been serving a 41-month prison sentence for a stock fraud scheme.

A new print ad campaign has been launched in consumer and trade magazines, newspapers and also appears on buses in Manhattan. There are different versions of the ads. One features a girl wearing an ankle bracelet and one features an empty pair of shoes with the words, "There's one pair of shoes that's been impossible to fill. Steve returns Spring 2005."
