Coke and Pepsi Face Ban in Russia

The Russian Nationalist Party wants to ban soft drinks that have caffeine. Pepsi and Coke would be affected by that law passing.

The two soft drinks don't have more caffeine than the law allows but the bill states some citizens are drinking the sodas in high quantities. A spokesperson for Coca-Cola says the bill will never pass since there are no grounds for the claims. Some Russian parliament officials are saying the bill won't pass either and cite that the politicians proposing the ban think Coke and Pepsi are really energy drinks.
