Stamps Become Advertising Vehicles

Monday March 20, 2006
Next time you get ready to stick that stamp on your bills, you might want to include the stamp with your company logo on it. The U.S. Postal Service has approved the use of commercial images on stamps.

A pilot program is testing the idea, which would likely allow logos and advertising on stamps. Custom stamps are currently available that could include any image that isn't offensive or commercially licensed.

Your dog's pic -- it could be a stamp. Your baby's pic -- it could be a stamp. Wedding day photo -- it could be a stamp. Stamps.com, Endicia.com and Zazzle.com will all participate in the pilot program.

Several years ago, while selling real estate, I was able to purchase stamps,
not postage stamps, that I could stick on my Christmas cards or any other mail
I wanted to send. Please let me know where I can purchase these stamps. Not a postage stamp.
Thanks a bunch.
