Group Wants Federline Super Bowl Ad Pulled
Wednesday January 24, 2007
The National Restaurant Association wants Nationwide Insurance to pull its 30-second Super Bowl commercial featuring Britney Spears' estranged husband Kevin Federline. In the ad, Federline goes from dreaming he's a rap star to realizing he's flipping burgers.
More on the Nationwide Commercial:
Eric Hardgrove, a spokesperson for Nationwide, defends the ad. He told Reuters the commercial's goal is to prepare people for how quickly life can change and not to "offend or insult the many fine individuals who work in the restaurant industry."
Nationwide Insurance is making its second appearance in the Super Bowl with the Life Comes at You Fast campaign. Fabio starred in the company's commercial that debuted during Super Bowl XL.
