The NFL Names Super Bowl Commercial Winner

Tuesday January 30, 2007
The NFL held open pitches at select football stadiums in the U.S. to give people a chance to have their Super Bowl commercial ideas heard. The winner is 33-year-old Gino Bona, who pitched his idea at Giants Stadium and beat out a whopping 10,000 contestants to see his commercial idea produced. Fans actually voted Bona's idea as their second favorite but the NFL made the final call and declared him the winner. Look for Bona's commercial to depict football fans at the end of the season packing away their gear like foam fingers and body paint to the tune of Boyz II Men's "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye."
