Adweek Names Agency of the Year

Tuesday January 8, 2008
Adweek has named Goodby, Silverstein & Partners as the U.S. agency of the year for the second year in a row. The agency handles clients like Anheuser-Busch, Hewlett-Packard, Comcast, the California Milk Processor Board and Netflix.com. Despite losing Saturn's $300 million account in January 2007 and facing layoffs, the agency pushed forward with hiring and went after new clients. The move paid off with an increase of 500 employees, from 350, and landing clients Sprint, Hyundai, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the NBA and Frito-Lay's Cheetos brand.

The first four of those new clients jumped to the agency within four weeks of each other and brought an estimated $2.4 billion worth of business to Goodby.
