Wendy's Yanks Red Wig

Tuesday February 12, 2008
Wendy's is changing its ad campaign. Again. The "That's Right" campaign, featuring hungry red-wigged people saying, "I deserve a hot, juicy burger," has been axed. It will be replaced by "Waaaay Better Than Fast Food. It’s Wendy’s," starring an animated version of Wendy.

More on the Wendy's Campaign:

The Saatchi & Saatchi-created "That's Right" campaign didn't even last a year, with ads first airing in May 2007. Kirshenbaum, Bond + Partners, New York, created the new campaign.

Wendy's will spend $435 million on the "Waaaay Better Than Fast Food" ads. The number three burger chain spent about $277 million in advertising in the first 11 months of 2007.
